About Calhoun Chiropractic in North Andover
Dr. Calhoun has been delivering quality chiropractic care for the past 20 years. In 1990 Dr. Calhoun opened a chiropractic office in southern Maryland. His practice grew and expanded to include a full service pain management and wellness center. As 1st Priority Physical Medicine, LLC his office included medical care, chiropractic care, physical therapy, spinal rehabilitation services, pain management services and personal training services. 1st Priority hired physicians who worked both at the facility as well as in urgent care facilities and Bethesda Navel Hospital's pain management facility.
Through this time Dr. Calhoun married an Andover native, Joan Asgeirsson. Joan's strong desire to return to New England and be near her family, as well as Dr. Calhoun's desire for new challenges propted their transition to the area. Dr. Calhoun sold his practice to a community hospital, creating the first hospital based chiropractic office in the Maryland.
On September 4th of 2007, Dr. Calhoun opened his office here in the town of North Andover. Calhoun Chiropractic and Dr. Calhoun are here to serve your needs!
Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. Generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, and begun to experience pain - either chronic or episodic.
Our commitment to your care is two-fold:
1. Relief Care
When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
- Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
- Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
- Offer ways patients can participate in their recovery
- Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care
2. Wellness Care
We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
